SWAP is a second level YWAM school, which means the only prerequisite for the course is completing a Discipleship Training School.

WHAT IS SWAP?

The School of Worship & Prayer (SWAP) functions as a 12-week “live-learn” internship with an intensive focus on worship and prayer. This YWAM school has a uniquely tailored schedule that will help you build effective habits of prayer and worship into your life. During the course you will be immersed in environments of worship & prayer.

Lecture Phase - 12 weeks

GROW YOUR PRAYER LIFE.

The School of Worship & Prayer is a second level YWAM course with a 3-month Lecture Phase and an optional 2-month Outreach Phase. It is an internship designed to develop a lifestyle of WORSHIP & PRAYER in the lives of those involved.

SWAP is uniquely designed to create space for intimacy with God through prayer and worship. If you’re looking to go deeper in these areas, and take worship and prayer to your community or the nations, then this is the school for you.

Outreach Phase - 8 weeks

TAKE WORSHIP TO THE NATIONS.

As a community, we desire to TRAIN, EQUIP, & RELEASE prayer and worship leaders to the nations. As a result, we value worship and prayer in our daily lives as a community and believe the Lord is raising up a generation through the School of Worship & Prayer that desires to worship Him in spirit and in truth.

The School of Worship & Prayer is a call to those who desire to pursue a lifestyle of more intensive, radical, and focused worship and prayer.

Who is SWAP for?

Our YWAM School of Worship & Prayer is for anyone! No matter what your skills or giftings are, SWAP is for everyone. Simply come with a heart ready to get close with Jesus and encounter Him through worship and prayer. The only prerequisite is completing a YWAM Discipleship Training School.

What visa will I need?

Visa’s are required for most students who come from overseas. Email admissions@ywamtoowoomba.com to get the details of the visa you will need.

Where is Toowoomba located?

Our YWAM base is nestled on the easternmost point of the city of Toowoomba. We are positioned on the edge of the Great Dividing Range mountains with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding Southeast Queensland area. The city of Toowoomba is 120 km directly west of Brisbane and a few hours drive from the beautiful Australian beaches found in the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast. Toowoomba is a great place to spend 5 months with God all while enjoying the best Australia has to offer with new friends.

What is the Toowoomba YWAM location like?

On DTS you will be staying on our YWAM base here in beautiful Toowoomba, Australia. Our campus has grassy areas, nice community living spaces, lecture rooms, offices, a dining hall and kitchen for fellowship over meals, and accomodation for students and volunteers. Our YWAM location has some of the best views in the region and is nestled up next to amazing nature!
