Leading in a Christian missions context is crucial as it provides direction and inspiration, ensuring that the mission's objectives align with biblical teachings and values. WHAT THE LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT SCHOOL?

The Leadership Development School (LDS) is a 2-year program for those interested in diving deeper into their relationship with God and learning more about themselves while growing in valuable leadership skills for ministry work.

Participants will lead out in one or more areas of ministry at our centre throughout their time on this course as well as attend monthly Development Sessions to aid in their personal and professional growth.

During your time on the Leadership Development School you will learn valuable leadership knowledge all while applying it in real time. The course is designed to equip young leaders into their God-given callings. The Leadership Development School utilises peer learning as well!

Development Sessions

BE EQUIPPED TO LEAD.

Throughout the course you will have weekly Development Sessions where you will be engaging in classroom discussion and lectures about Christian leadership. These sessions will directly apply to the leadership role you will be stewarding during the season. Get ready to grow and lead like Jesus!

Who is the Leadership Development School for?

YWAM Toowoomba's Leadership Development School is for you if you: 1) want to grow in your God-given leadership, 2) want to apply yourself in intentional Christian leadership, or 3) feel called to long term missions and want experience in pushing forward in that lifestyle.

What are the prerequisites for the Leadership Development School?

To apply for the Leadership Development School you must first have successfully completed a Discipleship Training School and the Ministry Development School. Luckily YWAM Toowoomba offers both of those programs!

What credit do I get for completing Leadership Development School?

You will receive credit for completing LDS! The Leadership Development School is an accredited Diploma of Christian Missions Leadership (10944NAT) within the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) as well as the Introductory Leadership Practicum I and II with the University of the Nations (UofN) through the College of Christian Ministries (CHR 243/ 244).
