The YWAM Toowoomba Café/Baristas DTS invites you to explore your passion for coffee while deepening your spiritual journey. Over 12 transformative weeks, you'll participate in engaging lectures that focus on biblical teaching, God's character & nature, and personal growth in your relationship with God. You'll learn from experienced instructors and connect with like-minded peers in a supportive community. Throughout the program, you'll have opportunities to develop your barista skills and explore various aspects of café culture. The course culminates in an 8-week outreach phase, where you’ll share your talents locally and globally, spreading the hope of Jesus. Whether you’re a barista, coffee enthusiast, or simply love serving others, this DTS will equip you to make a lasting impact while strengthening your relationship with God. What should I pack for YWAM DTS?
On your DTS you should pack plenty of clothes for 5 months of ministry & adventure. Don't forget your Bible, laptop, & journal for lectures!
How much does YWAM DTS cost?
The Prayer & Presence DTS's are $5000 AUD for Lecture Phase and $3500 AUD plus airfare for Outreach Phase. If you are coming from overseas, remember that our prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD).
Where is YWAM Toowoomba located?
Our YWAM base is nestled on the easternmost point of the city of Toowoomba. We are positioned on the edge of the Great Dividing Range mountains with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding Southeast Queensland area. The city of Toowoomba is 120 km directly west of Brisbane and a few hours drive from the beautiful Australian beaches found in the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast. Toowoomba is a great place to spend 5 months with God all while enjoying the best Australia has to offer with new friends.
What is the Toowoomba training campus like?
On DTS you will be staying on our YWAM base here in beautiful Toowoomba, Australia. Our campus has grassy areas, nice community living spaces, lecture rooms, offices, a dining hall and kitchen for fellowship over meals, and accomodation for students and volunteers. Our YWAM location has some of the best views in the region and is nestled up next to amazing nature!
What can I do after DTS?
There are many YWAM schools you can do after completing your DTS. Most YWAM bases and YWAM locations have second-level school options after DTS. Here at YWAM Toowoomba our second level schools include: the School of Worship & Prayer, the Ministry Development School, and the Leadership Development School. Completing any of our schools can get you credits toward a degree with the University of the Nations.
Will I have free time on DTS?
Yes, you will have free time. When you do have free time, there is so much to get up to! Some of the things you can get up to include, hanging out with new friends, playing music, going to shopping, hiking and exploring, playing sports, travelling to other parts of Queensland, and going to church.
