YWAM’s Working With Refugees DTS offers a unique opportunity for participants to engage deeply with the challenges faced by refugees and displaced people. Through a combination of lectures, hands-on training, and outreach experiences, students gain insights into the complexities of refugee situations while developing practical skills for effective support. This DTS emphasises the importance of understanding cultural differences and fosters compassion and empathy for those in crisis. Participants also learn about advocacy, community development, and how to provide holistic care, empowering them to make a positive impact in the lives of refugees. With a focus on spiritual growth and practical application, this DTS equips individuals to serve in various contexts, both locally and globally. By combining faith with action, students emerge ready to be agents of change, embodying love and hope in the lives of some of the world's most vulnerable populations.
Participants in the YWAM Adventure DTS can look forward to exhilarating activities such as:
-
Go on weekly house visits to local refugee families.
-
Engage in overseas outreach to places where you can support and minister to refugees.
