What is the School of Worship & Prayer?

The School of Worship & Prayer (SWAP) functions as a 12-week “live-learn” internship with an intensive focus on worship and prayer. This YWAM school has a uniquely tailored schedule that will help you build effective habits of prayer and worship into your life.  During the course, a typical week will involve daily lectures, spending time in The Prayer Room, leading times of prayer and worship, Bible study, local outreach, one-on-ones, small groups, and building friendships. SWAP is a second level YWAM school, which means the only prerequisite for the course is completing a Discipleship Training School.

Gain a heart for intimacy with God, desire to be in His presence and pursue Him through worship and prayer. This is what YWAM’s School of Worship & Prayer is all about.

The School of Worship & Prayer is a second level YWAM course with a 3-month Lecture Phase and an optional 2-month Outreach Phase. It is an internship designed to develop a lifestyle of WORSHIP & PRAYER in the lives of those involved.

SWAP is uniquely designed to create space for intimacy with God through prayer and worship. If you’re looking to go deeper in these areas, and take worship and prayer to your community or the nations, then this is the school for you.

As a community, we desire to TRAIN, EQUIP, & RELEASE prayer and worship leaders to the nations. As a result, we value worship and prayer in our daily lives as a community and believe the Lord is raising up a generation through the School of Worship & Prayer that desires to worship Him in spirit and in truth.

The School of Worship & Prayer is a call to those who desire to pursue a lifestyle of more intensive, radical, and focused worship and prayer.

 

Potential outreach ministries:
Leading worship at churches, Leading church services, Sharing testimonies, Doing practical work projects, Doing street evangelism, Running prayer times, Going on prayer walks, Serving with youth ministries, Supporting the local church, Partnering with established mercy ministries, Ministering to the poor and needy, Caring for children in need, and much more.

Jan 31, 2025 - April 25, 2025 or June 20, 2025 including Outreach Phase.

July 25, 2025 - Oct 17, 2025 or Dec 12, 2025 including Outreach Phase.

Jan 30, 2026 - April 24, 2026 or June 19, 2026 including Outreach Phase.

Lecture Phase - $4850 AUD

Includes tuition, room, board, and meals.

Who is SWAP for?
Our YWAM School of Worship & Prayer is for anyone! No matter what your skills or giftings are, SWAP is for everyone. Simply come with a heart ready to get close with Jesus and encounter Him through worship and prayer. The only prerequisite is completing a YWAM Discipleship Training School.
What visa do I need?
Visa’s are required for most students who come from overseas. Email admissions@ywamtoowoomba.com to get the details of the visa you will need.
