We value worship & prayer because we desire to be a ministry pursuing the presence of God & ministering to His heart through worship & prayer. We value making time and space for worship & prayer in our daily lives and pursuing growth in these areas together. We want to allow God to use our gifts of leading worship & prayer to draw others to His heart, particularly through serving and facilitating environments where people can connect with Him through prayer & worship.
We value music, art, and the expression of creativity, particularly through the arts. We desire to make room and space for creative expression, and to use it to encourage others to know God, our original Creator.
We are committed to seeing God move in the nations, to sending young people out with the message of the Gospel, and to being God’s hands and feet in our own city and nation. We are on a Kingdom mission as a ministry, and we have a heart especially for displaced people groups.
Heart Values
YWAM Toowoomba functions as a family, where each member plays a vital & unique part. We are a centre that values & prioritises relationship with one another. Following the example of Christ, we want to be a community that leaves the ninety-nine for the one. (Luke 15:3-7) We commit to stewarding relationships in a healthy & godly way, valuing each individual, & creating space for them to feel heard.
We value being above reproach in our communication, both toward one another within our community and on behalf of YWAM Toowoomba. We commit to communicating with love, purity, and integrity, as well as clarity and honesty. We desire to build up with our speech (Ephesians 4:29), and want to be set apart from gossip, tearing down others, or spreading discouragement or disunity with our communication.
