Every artist musk ask themselves, “What am I going to do with what I’ve been given?”
We as a community aim to steward our gifts to glorify the Giver. In this case, it’s the gift of art. A tool of intimacy, power and great influence. Often people can discredit themselves and feel they are unable to make a difference. Artists are commonly overlooked; but we believe God is saying something different.
When we combine creativity and compassion we can achieve something beautiful as we collaborate with the Lord. We want to use this opportunity to grab people’s attention, make them aware about what’s around them and stir people to take action with the gifts they have.
Christians are the hands and feet of Jesus, and it’s our desire to see the gospel reach every tribe, tongue and nation. When we feed the poor or care for the sick, we are displaying the gospel in a tangible way, building a bridge for people to encounter God.
God has stirred our hearts at YWAM Toowoomba to take action and reach out to the poor and needy. In an age where global issues seem to pile up as barricades beyond belief, it’s hard to know where to start. But we’re starting with the one. The one we find in our city, our street, our own doorstep.
We’re a community loving radically, giving generously, throwing our rights and reputation to the floor and grabbing the hand of the down-and-outer.
